Almora: The issue of including students from government schools in the ABVP district conference has sparked a heated debate. Students of the SSJEE expressed their displeasure at the order issued by an official to include government school students in the ABVP conference and demanded action against the officer.
On Thursday, students at the SSJEE campus sent a memorandum to DM Vandana Singh through ADM Chandra Singh Martolia under the leadership of student union president Pankaj Karki. The memorandum stated that on February 16, seven government schools in the city were invited to attend the ABVP district conference in Almora, following directions from the former CEO. Nitin Rawat, Amit Bist, Bal Vikas Singh Rawat, Vishal Sah, Mayank Joshi, Saurabh Kumar Raj, Manish Bist, Tribhuvan, and Aman Latwal were present at the event.
The newly-appointed CEO, Hemlata Bhatt, has issued instructions to all schools on Thursday, directing all section education officers and principals not to include children in external activities. If this happens, strict action will be taken against those responsible.
The issue has sparked a debate about the involvement of government school students in external events. Some argue that it is a great opportunity for government school students to get involved in external activities and learn about new things. However, others argue that this could lead to a divide between government and private schools and that such events should be limited to private school students.
The ABVP has not yet issued a statement on the controversy. It remains to be seen how this issue will be resolved and what impact it will have on future events involving government school students.
