CBSE Class 12 Results 2023: Girls Outshine Boys, Trivandrum Tops, Prayagraj at Bottom

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 results on May 12, 2023. Girls once again outperformed boys with an overall pass percentage of 90.68%, while boys had a pass percentage of 83.92%. Trivandrum region in Kerala emerged as the topper among all the 16 regions with a pass percentage of 99.9%, while Prayagraj region in Uttar Pradesh had the lowest pass percentage of 78%.



The overall pass percentage for CBSE Class 12 Result 2023 is 87.33%, which is lower than last year's pass percentage of 92.71%. The dip can be attributed to the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to a delay in exams and caused much uncertainty among students.

Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated students on Twitter on their success in the CBSE Class XII examinations. He urged students who may not have met their expectations to not lose heart and continue working hard to chase their dreams. The Minister also highlighted the impressive performance of girl students, who have outshone boys in this year's results as well.
